We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated CNC Machinist to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on 2nd shift. The core hours for the position are 3:15 PM - 12:45 AM and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, offered at the end of the shift for a required 45 hours a week. Overtime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 in a week. Responsibilities: With limited technical supervision, checks out programming, sets up, operates and adjusts computer numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications Works from programs, operation sheets, and machine setup instructions Self-sufficient with material clamping methods, machine adjustments/offsets and console settings Operations include drilling, honing, boring, milling and turning, screw machine operation, etc., on routine and repetitive operations Education: High School diploma/GED Machining Training Certificate preferred Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNC Machinist II or minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience as a CNC machinist Skills / Knowledge Understanding of Common GD&T restraints such as runout, concentricity, and Parallelism Proficient in use of shop math Limited technical supervision Requires knowledge of machining techniques such as cutting jaws, touching tools off and tramming fixtures Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures such as dry run, geometry and wear offsets, MDI functions and basic G codes Kaman Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Minority/Female/Individuals with Disabilities/Protected Veteran and Affirmative Action Employer Kaman Corporation considers for employment and hires qualified candidates without regard to age, race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, protected veteran or disability status or any factor prohibited by law.
