We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing hardware inventory, setting up and maintaining IT equipment, and providing technical support to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems and a passion for troubleshooting and supporting users in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHardware Inventory & Setup:Manage and maintain the company's hardware inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and properly tracked.Perform setup and installation of new hardware (computers, printers, phones, etc.) and software for employees.Ensure all IT equipment is running optimally and troubleshoot hardware issues as needed.Assist in the decommissioning and disposal of old hardware in accordance with company policies.Technical Support:Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals.Respond to helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution of issues.Assist in user account creation, permissions management, and other administrative IT tasks.Collaborate with the Director of IT to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to processes or equipment.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, software licenses, and IT support tickets.Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference and team knowledge sharing.Primary job responsibilities are those which an employee must be able to perform with or without accommodation. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required Education and Experience: Proven experience in IT support or a related role.Solid understanding of IT systems, hardware, software, and networking.Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.) and common business applications (Office 365, etc.).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent communication skills and ability to assist non-technical staff.Preferred Education and Experience: A+ Certification or similar IT certifications are a plus.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Occasional travel to different company locations may be required.On-call support may be necessary during peak times or for emergency situations.
