Technical Product Support & Networking Summer Intern - Wappingers Falls, NY

Position Overview:

Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for networking and customer support? Laerdal Medical is seeking a Technical Product Support & Networking Intern to join our team in Wappingers Falls, NY for the summer. Gain hands-on experience in IT networking, product support, and customer service while working with cutting-edge medical simulation technology, while developing technical skills, troubleshoot real-world issues, and contribute to life-saving efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Salesforce CRM Training & Support Case Management - Receive comprehensive training in Salesforce CRM, assisting with the analysis, classification, and resolution of support cases and projects. This includes identifying trends, prioritizing cases, and providing timely updates to customers and internal teams.
• Hands-On Testing & Troubleshooting - Gain experience working with a wide array of medical simulation products, performing both software and hardware testing to ensure optimal product performance. You'll diagnose technical issues, identify solutions, and contribute to product improvements.
• Technical Resource Management & Inventory Control - Leverage your organizational skills to manage and catalog technical resources including manikins, computers, and simulation equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records, track resource usage, and ensure availability for testing and customer needs.
• Collaboration Across Teams - Work closely with engineering, product management, and customer support teams to gather insights, resolve technical issues, and ensure the successful deployment of medical simulation technology.
• Customer-Focused Support - Assist in providing technical support to customers, helping them troubleshoot issues, answering questions, and providing product guidance.

Requirements:

• Intern must be available to commit to the entire summer internship (approximately May - August) and work five days a week in the Wappingers Falls, NY office (with reliable transportation and local housing).
• Major or related course work in the following majors; Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking or Network Administration.
• A strong eagerness to develop new skills and contribute positively to the team.
• Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative office environment.
• Basic experience with PC operations and troubleshooting.
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Pay Rate: $18 per hour
