Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Knowledge Manager to provide operational support to a senior Navy Customer. The ideal candidate will have a background in consulting and understanding of complex initiatives, stakeholders, and vendor coordination in the IT modernization space. The Knowledge Manager will be responsible for managing the organization's knowledge base, systems, Program This role involves working with various departments to identify knowledge gaps, implement strategies for knowledge sharing, and maintain a central repository for all critical information.

Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement strategies for effective management and sharing of knowledge across the organization.
  • Oversee the creation, capture, organization, and distribution of knowledge, including documents, processes, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain a centralized knowledge repository (intranet, SharePoint, etc.) that is easy to use, up-to-date, and accessible to all employees.
  • Collaborate with department heads and teams to identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a knowledge-sharing culture through training, awareness campaigns, and leadership engagement.
  • Support the creation and implementation of knowledge management tools and technologies.
  • Coordinate and lead knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and forums to facilitate collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
  • Measure the effectiveness of knowledge management strategies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits of knowledge assets to ensure information is accurate, relevant, and current.
  • Support the onboarding process by ensuring new hires have access to essential knowledge resources.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication across teams to promote cross-functional learning.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Proven experience in knowledge management, information systems, or related fields (5+ years).
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management tools and technologies (SharePoint, Confluence, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and improve knowledge management systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in project management and change management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and document management platforms.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: United States - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
