Full-Time Lecturer in English.

We invite applications for two full-time lecturers in First-Year Composition to support TWU's developmental education curriculum. We are especially interested in candidates with prior experience working with, advising, and/or mentoring at-risk students. This is a teaching-centered position with a 5/5 course load and an expectation of departmental service. While the position includes minimal research requirements, candidates are expected to stay abreast of trends in the field and current best practices with integrated reading and writing. The positions begin August 2025. Successful candidates should hold an MA or PhD in English, Rhetoric, or a closely allied field. The candidates should be prepared to teach engaging courses in a range of modalities: face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses. Rank of lecturer appointment (I, II, III, or Sr.) depends on experience and qualifications.

We are a lively, engaged, and collaborative multidisciplinary department offering a BA and MA in English and a PhD in Rhetoric; BA, MA, and PhD in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies; and, beginning Fall 2025, a BA in Spanish.
