Location: Edmond Medical Center Shift: Full Time (36 hrs/week), flexible hours between 7a-7p Behavioral Health is proud to offer services to patients 55 years +. Services include senior inpatient behavioral health, senior intensive outpatient program, medical detox and outpatient psychiatry. The behavioral health until consists of 17-beds and is not on call unit. One (1) year of RN experience is preferred for this position. General Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. General Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred. Experience: N/A License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within 3 months of hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills.
