Overview
Licensure Readiness Assistant The Licensure Readiness Assistant supports students and graduates in preparing for licensure or certification exams by providing administrative assistance, resources, and guidance. This role involves coordinating licensure-related activities, tracking readiness progress, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and external licensing agencies. The Licensure Readiness Assistant is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to student success.
Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities & Deliverables
Assist students and graduates in understanding licensure requirements, exam registration processes, and application deadlines
- Provide access to study materials, exam preparation courses, and other resources to help students prepare for licensure exams
- Maintain records of students' licensure readiness, including tracking exam attempts, pass rates, and required documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for licensure-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to students and graduates
- Coordinate and promote workshops, study sessions, and informational events related to licensure preparation
- Work closely with academic departments, advisors, and faculty to identify students who may need additional support for licensure readiness
- Ensure that all licensure-related activities align with state, national, or professional standards and requirements
- Compile and analyze data on licensure outcomes to support institutional reporting and accreditation requirements
- Communicate with licensing boards and certification agencies to stay updated on changes in licensure requirements and processes
- Assist students with collecting and submitting required documentation, including transcripts, forms, and verification letters
- Help students navigate online licensing platforms and applications
- Provide encouragement and guidance to students facing challenges in their licensure preparation journey.
- Collect feedback from students on the licensure readiness process to improve resources and services offered
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Licenses / Certifications
- Licensure - Varies by state, campus location, course and accreditation and licensing requirements

- Experience - Varies by state, campus location, course and accreditation and licensing requirements
Education / Experience
- Associate's degree in education, counseling, business administration, or related field (required)
- Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in student services, academic support, or a related administrative role (required)
- Familiarity with licensure or certification processes in fields such as healthcare, education, or technical trades (preferred)
Skills
- Knowledge of exam preparation strategies and resources
- Experience working in higher education or professional licensing environments
- Familiarity with specific licensure requirements (e.g., NCLEX, Praxis, state licensing boards)

Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.

- Onsite; Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.
