JOB SUMMARY:

The Outside Sales Representative will drive sales growth by meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives. This position requires a thorough understanding of vinyl window products and market conditions and the ability to communicate and collaborate across departments to ensure customer satisfaction effectively. In this role, you will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, understand local market trends, and execute each sales process effectively. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience and a proven track record in sales, particularly in building materials. Flexibility to travel and a valid driver's license are also required for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet and exceed sales goals and objectives.
  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of vinyl window capabilities and processes, products, customers, supply chain, local market trends, competitors, and market pricing.
  • Collaborate and communicate across departments to deliver profitable sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and establish contact with potential customers
  • Be able to perform product demonstrations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
  • Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales
  • Generate and submit sales reports to management
  • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers
  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily
  • Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and
  • Customer accounts

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL:

  • A bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Computer experience using MS Office products
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven track record of developing and building customer/client relationships.
  • Must have at least 3 years of outside sales experience in building materials, preferably vinyl windows.
  • Flexible to travel and overnight commute.
  • Must hold a clear and valid driver's license.
  • Prolong standing or other stationary positions
  • Complete repetitive movements such as typing
  • Work in an environment where exposure to sounds or noise levels may be uncomfortable
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection in designated areas)
