Position Description

Your role as Regional Sales Manager for Ferris Commercial Mowers will be to direct, plan and coordinate a field sales force to meet company sales and profit goals. You will follow established sales processes while coaching field sales force to ensure future distribution growth by working and traveling with assigned staff.

You will do this by:
  • Directing, planningand coordinatingthe activities of assigned sales force to attain sales and profit goals; travels with sales force on a regular basis

  • Continually coachingfield sales force to improve understanding of sales process

  • Recommendingsales forecast and regional budgets; Managingbudgets and expenses of sales force

  • Communicatingand implementing all programs with field sales force

  • Reviewingsales progress and developing corrective action when necessary

  • Communicatingwith management to review sales performance and new customer expansion

  • Interfacingwith company support personnel as necessary to foster consistent, open communication, customer support, implementation of company programs and achievement of sales goals and objectives

  • Organizingand conductingproductive sales meetings with set agenda

  • Performingfull range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget

  • Performingother duties as assigned

You are the type of person who is/has:
  • Ability to analyze sales trends, using BI tools.

  • Ability to identify and maximize sales opportunities

  • Advanced knowledge of sales procedures

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people

  • Track record of successfully leading and coaching a successful sales team

  • Solid computer skills including understanding of sales software systems, word processing and spreadsheet programs

  • Must be able to work independently and possess solid organizational skills

  • Able to safely load, secure and operate a variety of company trailers on a regular basis

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of seven years of highly successful sales management experience
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Domestic and/or International travel as required up to 50%
Valid Drivers License
