Preferred Locations: Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland, Hartford
Travel: ~70% annually across Central U.S. to East Coast
Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 USD base + 25% Annual Bonus Incentive
Business Unit: Copper and Brass Sales
Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

This is a high-visibility position on a dynamic and growing team-ideal for someone with experience in aluminum plate sales, purchasing, product management, or supplier relations who thrives on collaboration, innovation, and travel.

What You'll Do

As the Aluminum Plate Product Manager, you'll serve as the connective tissue between sales, operations, and supply chain-supporting commercial strategy, enhancing processing capabilities, and driving technical knowledge across our teams and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in aluminum plate processing initiatives including saws, routers, CNCs, water jets, and consumables.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, yield, and scrap reduction.

  • Participate on teams that standardize operating procedures and implement best practices.

  • Collaborate across departments to improve customer service, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Educate and support sales professionals on aluminum plate capabilities, helping them identify and close processing opportunities.

  • Assist with quoting, contracts, and supplier relations for aluminum plate.

  • Work with Product Directors to align product strategy with market demand and supply chain planning.

  • Build and maintain relationships with producers, OEMs, and key suppliers.

  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership based on real data and evolving market needs.

  • Travel frequently to customer and supplier sites across the U.S. to support growth and relationship-building efforts.

What You'll Bring Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience (10+ years in aluminum industry roles).

  • Deep understanding of the aluminum plate market, including customer applications and material specs.

  • Background in sales, purchasing, product, or operational roles tied to aluminum plate.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially between commercial and operations teams.

  • Strong data and analytical skills to drive decisions and strategy.

  • Self-starter with collaborative energy and strong project execution skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and data dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced business training a plus.

  • Established relationships with aluminum suppliers, OEMs, and processors.

  • Prior experience supporting outside sales teams or managing vendor/customer accounts.
