GENERAL SUMMARY:

Serve as the receptionist for The Good Shepherd; handles inquiries for services, referring to appropriate TGS staff, or if request is for services not provided by TGS, to make referral to appropriate LSS agency or outside service. Supports and assists TGS Leadership staff with administrative and clerical duties and projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Answers telephones and routine calls in a timely fashion using the appropriate chain of command.
  • Greet visitors, residents, families, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Promotes excellence in customer service.
  • Provides administrative and clerical support to TGS Administrator and Leadership staff as well as the President of Northern Operations.
  • Performs general office and secretarial duties including, but not limited to mailing, filing, copying. Ensures that all office equipment is in good working order.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of special events.
  • Maintains the receptionist area at all times keeping it clean and organized.
  • Maintains professional dress and appearance standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

SUPERVISES: N/A

EDUCATION: High school diploma.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-year receptionist or similar experience within a customer service setting. Computer training required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Excellent telephone skills.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Competent with computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and Power Point, Graphics skills.

Possess active listening skills.

Initiative and problem-solving abilities.

Professional conduct, patience, enthusiasm, and tact.

Self-motivated and confident to successfully function independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Must have a valid Ohio driver's license and provide proof of current automobile insurance.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:



  • Flexibility in managing schedule including weekends and evening hours.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required
