Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Global Accounting Advisory & Reporting Analyst to join our team at CDW and be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance organization that values innovation and continuous growth. In this role, you will perform research and analysis on complex technical accounting and reporting issues, assist with the implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting rules, support updates to the Company's global finance policies, and support the preparation of quarterly financial statements filed with the Security Exchange Commission ("SEC") and Investor Relations materials. This role will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to understand complex deals and assist with analyzing and documenting the Company's accounting positions.

What you will do:

  • Research US GAAP/SEC rules and regulations to resolve and document the accounting and reporting for complex technical issues.

  • Perform and document review of material revenue contracts to ensure revenue is appropriately recognized in accordance with ASC 606

  • Analyze and summarize accounting positions and related financial data for presentation to key stakeholders

  • Prepares Form 10-Q and Form 10-K and files with the SEC, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures, preparation of the MD&A and other sections of filings.

  • Partner with Investor Relations team to ensure accurate presentation of materials for public release such as the earnings release, dividends release, Form 8-K's, inventor presentations, earnings release scripts, etc.

  • Prepares monthly internal reporting materials which could include financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows, earnings per share calculation, CECL analysis, and other analysis for internal reporting materials.

  • Collaborate with and across departments including Investor Relations, Treasury, Legal, Financial Systems, FP&A, Sales and Margin Accounting and Corporate Accounting.

  • Assist with purchase accounting for business combinations to ensure net assets are properly measured and valued in accordance with ASC 805.

  • Monitor and document FASB projects, accounting standard updates, and SEC rules to determine impact to the Company and inform finance leadership

  • Assist with updating the Company's global finance instruction manual, which documents accounting and reporting policies and procedures.

  • Assist with the implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards and SEC reporting rules, including working with various cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Support the Company's external auditors performing quarterly reviews and the annual audit with respect to both financial reporting and technical accounting issues.

  • Maintain compliance with internal control procedures, including preparation of documentation to support accounting and reporting positions.

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of public/industry accounting experience

  • Active CPA license (required)

  • Public/industry accounting experience, from the Big 4 public accounting firm experience is a plus.

  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP (emphasis on ASC 606) and SEC rules and requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience implementing improvements driving efficiency as well as quality, with a focus on process orientation.

  • Proficiency in balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines

  • Demonstrate resilience and curiosity and is willing to learn new concepts and apply learnings in new situations.

  • Experience in Workiva, Hyperion Financial Management and Workday, is a plus.

Pay range: $ 88,000 - $ 122,400 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 5% subject to terms and conditions of plan
