The role will be full time, hybrid work, including two days onsite in the Shelton CT office per week.


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing risks, ensuring compliance, and providing legal advice on client, supplier, and employee contracts. This role requires an understanding of contract law, risk management, and regulatory compliance, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Contract Review & Drafting: Review, draft, and negotiate client and supplier contracts, ensuring they align with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and legal standards.
  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Assess potential legal risks in contracts, including financial, operational, and compliance risks. Provide strategies to mitigate those risks and ensure contract terms protect the company's interests.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure contracts comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Advise on compliance matters related to contracts, including data protection, intellectual property, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual matters, helping them understand legal implications and advise on best practices.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead or support negotiations with clients and suppliers to reach mutually beneficial agreements while maintaining legal integrity and protecting the company's interests.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts and related legal documentation. Ensure proper archiving of contract files for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
  • Training & Awareness: Educate internal teams on contract management processes, risk identification, and legal compliance. Conduct training sessions to improve contract-related knowledge within the organization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, procurement, operations) to ensure contract execution and delivery meet company objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A law degree (JD or equivalent) or equivalent legal qualifications.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in contract management, with a focus on risk assessment, legal compliance, and advising on contracts.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of contract law, risk management, and legal compliance.
    • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Desirable:

    • Professional certifications in contract management (e.g., NCCM, CPM) are a plus.
    • Experience in Staffing industry is preferred.
