Job Title: Project Manager - Environmental Services
Location: Honolulu, HI
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

As a Project Manager at EA, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including preparing technical proposals, cost estimates, planning and coordinating environmental investigation and remediation projects, and overseeing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments. Your role will involve managing client relationships, financial oversight of projects, leading technical teams, and ensuring high standards of project execution.

What You Will Do:



  • Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and develop project plans for investigation and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate and execute Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, including permit application development and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage financials for assigned projects, ensuring they meet budget and timeline requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Foster and develop strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Work with clients to define comprehensive scopes of work and detailed cost estimates.
  • Prepare successful proposals and position for follow-on work to grow client relationships.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related discipline.
  • 8 or more years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation projects.
  • Experience in preparing proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Hawaii Department of Health (HDOH) Technical Guidance Manual, HDOH Evaluation of Environmental Hazards at Sites with Contaminated Soil and Groundwater, and other HDOH guidance, with at least 5 years of experience in Hawaii.
  • Familiarity with federal regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, and CWA.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour HAZWOPER annual refresher; First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across technical disciplines, adhering to schedules, scopes, and budgets, while meeting EA's project management and quality standards.
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork and occasionally travel out of state.
