Description Our client needs a Phone System Technician to help execute on a county wide phone refresh from Nortel/Avaya PBX phones to a cloud based system called Ring Central. They are working closely with the vendor for a lot of the configuration, but need an additional resource to help with execution of the project. If someone is experience on the configuration/design side of phone systems that experience would be utilized, but this person should be comfortable with network technician level work, moves/adds/changes, phone wiring,, getting into network closets, etc. Our client has about 6,800 headsets being refreshed. The current systems are primarily PBX (5 VoIP systems, one IP Office Server edition, 4 Nortel systems that make up 90-95% of the users, about 2% Norstar). Experience with Avaya/Nortel Phone systems Able to learn wiring Closet locations and wiring runs Able to plug in VOIP phones and verify working Able to read a Network Patch panel Understand basic Network troubleshooting Able to work independently Local travel with personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) required. Great customer service experience and can work with all levels of the organization Preferred but not Required - Experience with Ring Central or other Cloud based phone solution Performs test, etc., bandwidth, desktop, and application support Serves as Key UAT Testing Resource Serves as Telephony Technical - PBX knowledge, phone/agent knowledge, carrier services Serves in Porting numbers Serves in assisting training on the new system This role should attend RingCentral agent training. Experience with Ring Central or another cloud based phone system would be great since this is a new technology to the county, but not required. Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
