About the Role:
Vaco is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to identify an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong experience in cost accounting, overhead rate allocation, and financial reconciliations within a manufacturing environment.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting leadership in analyzing key financial data. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations while utilizing an ERP system for financial transactions. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring work Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and execute the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Conduct detailed general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Perform bank account reconciliations and manage fixed assets.
  • Support and participate in year-end audits, responding to information requests and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Analyze and summarize account trends to provide key financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Ensure accuracy in cost accounting, including overhead allocation and inventory-related journal entries.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling financial information and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3+ years of senior-level accounting experience in a manufacturing setting, with a focus on cost accounting and inventory.
  • Experience in accrual accounting, reconciliations, and reviewing P&L statements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of debits, credits, and self-reviewing reconciliations for accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across various teams, including leadership.
  • CPA designation is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
