Position Title: Senior Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Agile Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing project teams or product teams using Agile methodology as may be applicable through the entire project and product life cycle. This includes managing the project scope, timeline, budget, and resources, as well as providing leadership and guidance to project team members. The Agile Project Manager will assess customer needs and manage customer expectations, while also balancing the team's goals and objectives. The Agile Project Manager will apply the appropriate agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban or Scrumban to deliver on project and product goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Leads project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes creativity, efficiency, and accountability. Provides clear direction, guidance, and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to project close. Project Planning: Develops comprehensive project plans, through outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and deliverables. Ensures alignment with overall business goals and objectives. Identifies, tracks, and communicates critical milestones, risks, action items, decisions, and dependencies. Stakeholder Management: Establishes and maintains strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Communicates effectively to manage expectations, address concerns, and provide project updates to ensure project alignment. Builds strong working relationships with cross-functional teams. Risk Management: Identifies potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Develops mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth project progression. Resource Allocation: Allocates resources effectively to achieve project goals. Monitors resource utilization and adjusts as necessary to optimize project performance. Budget Oversight: Manages project budgets, monitors expenses, and ensures adherence to financial constraints. Collaborates with finance teams to track expenditures and make informed decisions. Quality Assurance: Maintains a focus on delivering high-quality results that meet or exceed expectations. Implements best practice quality control processes and conducts thorough reviews of project deliverables. Communication: Facilitates clear and timely communication among project team members and stakeholders. Prepares and delivers status reports, presentations, and updates to keep all parties informed. Provides leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Change Management: Effectively manages changes in project scope, timelines, or objectives. Evaluates the impact of changes and communicates adjustments to relevant parties. Continuous Improvement: Identifies opportunities to enhance project management processes, tools, and methodologies. Drives the adoption of best practices across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Licensure, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Leadership Planning, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent mix of education and work experience required.

Licensure:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification required.
  • Agile Project Management certification, Such as CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Minimum six years of progressive work experience in project management required.
  • Project Management work experience in the Financial Industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience leading larger teams working on multiple complex projects.
  • Proven record of excellent project management and analysis skills.
  • Extensive experience in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to confidently engage with staff at all levels to define needs and expectations, collaborate on projects, and communicate effectively to drive results.
  • Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated accountability of project budget and planning of resources.
  • Ability to work in confidentiality when needed
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
  • Knowledge of Agile Scaling Methodologies such as SAFe, or similar
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, and Asana
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Aptitude for quickly learning and understanding new technologies
  • Familiarity with software development tools and techniques

  • Our company offers a dynamic hybrid work arrangement, which requires three days on-site, in the Sugar Land, TX office. Our retail roles are required to be onsite at the branch locations.
