Job Type: RegularRAND Social and Economic Well-Being seeks to actively improve the health and social and economic well-being of populations and communities both in the U.S. and globally, through the strategic application of research and analysis. Our aim is to produce high-quality and consumable research and analysis that addresses critical factors necessary to promote health and social and economic well-being as well as to support decisionmakers and policy influencers in using the best and most practical approaches to solve social and economic problems. The Social and Economic Well-Being division is seeking a Senior Division Administrator (SDA) to handle a wide variety of detailed financial and/or operational activities with minimal oversight. Reporting to the lead division administrator, the SDA will monitor financial data and manage overhead budgets and research budgets of higher value and greater complexity to support research activities across various contract and grant types, commercial, and foundational clients. The SDA is responsible for administrative tasks which may include conflict of interest reviews, assistance with HSPC related tasks, database management, internal communication facilitation, quality assurance monitoring of QA procedures for research projects, and project description coordination. The SDA is expected to possess a foundational understanding of financial and operational policies, procedures, and practices, enabling them to address internal client requirements and needs proactively. In addition, the SDA is expected to support and contribute to cross-divisional and internal team training, provide some mentoring to less experienced staff, and work on some process-focused improvements, and may serve as point of contact for the division's programs and centers.
