How will you power what's possible? This is an exciting time to join Southwire as a Product Specialist who assists with all aspects of product management, from driving new business, development of new products, sourcing, marketing and sales. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the tactical execution to grow sales and gross margin for the Fittings, Weatherproof and Hanging & Support product families. Description of Roles and Responsibilities * Assist the Product Manager with day-to-day responsibilities. * Provide technical support for the Fittings, Weatherproof & Hanging & Support, product categories. Define product placement, positioning, price and lifecycle * Build alignment across multiple functions within the organization * Analyze market and industry trends, Voice of Customer (VOC), and competitive intel, then collaborate with cross functional teams to translate these insights into product solutions that meet and/or exceed user/distributor partner needs * Demonstrate thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders * Maintain market lead-time requirements, provide guidance on capacity planning by forecasting demand and working closely with Supply Chain * Assist with maintaining a rolling 3-year product roadmap Qualifications and Experience Requirements * 3+ years of professional experience in Sales, Product Marketing/Management, Engineering, and/or Channel Marketing/Management * Bachelor's Degree in either Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or like fields * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong business-to-business analytical skills and attention to detail * Ability to work cross functionally to launch new products and programs * Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word) required, Microsoft Project & SAP a plus * Experience with building strong business relationships * Ability to manage multiple projects and/or tasks while meeting deadlines * Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for the purpose of visiting end users, distributors, suppliers and in support of commercial activities i.e., internal meetings, line reviews and industry trade shows Competencies Nimble Learning Customer Focus Plans and Aligns Collaborates Balances Stakeholders Action Oriented Benefits We Offer: 401k with Matching Family and Individual Insurance Packages (Health, Life, Dental, and Vision) Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Long & Short-Term Disability Supplemental Insurance Plans Employee Assistance Program Employee Referral Program Tuition Reimbursement Programs Advancement & Professional Growth opportunities Parental Leave & More Southwire is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
