Researchers at the MGH Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary Research (CHOIR) are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) for studies focused on developing and delivering mind-body interventions for different clinical populations. The CRC will assist patient communication and study support for several projects. Example projects include: 1) a web-based mind-body intervention to help reduce pain interference and emotional distress among adults with chronic orofacial pain; 2) a web-based mind-body treatment to enhance resilience among patients with painful nontraumatic upper extremity conditions and comorbid risky substance use; and 3) a culturally adapted mindfulness based cognitive therapy for older Black adults with chronic pain and depression. The findings of these studies will inform interventions for multiple medical populations. The CRC may also be assigned to support other research projects as needed. This role provides flexibility to engage in diverse research activities across various studies. The CRC will have additional opportunities to gain clinical research experience at MGH CHOIR.
The CRC will assist CHOIR researchers with a range of study tasks. Responsibilities will include literature searches, management of IRB-related documents, recruitment and enrollment, data collection and management, providing assistance to patients, and manuscript and grant submissions. The CRC will gain valuable experience and knowledge working in all phases of the research process, ranging from study design to analysis and interpretation of results. They will work alongside other CRCs at CHOIR through team research meetings, trainings, and presentations led by staff within CHOIR and the larger MGH community.
We are seeking a CRC with excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, writing, and organizational skills. Our ideal candidate has prior experience with research activities and collecting patient data. We highly value experience and comfort of working with medical populations and individuals from a variety of different backgrounds. Bachelor's or Master's degrees and availability to work in-person are required.

- Patient screening and recruitment (in person and over the phone)

- Recruit and gather data from study participants, (in-person and by phone or zoom).

- Patient follow-up and facilitating intervention adherence.

- Maintain records and databases.

- Administer surveys to parents through electronic survey (REDCap).

- Conduct literature and library searches.

- Ensurecompliancewithfederaland IRB regulations.

- Assist with IRB submissions, amendments, and continuingreviews.

- Assist with preparation of grant applications and manuscripts, including data analyses, literature searches and drafting of texts.

- Perform administrative support duties as required.

- Attend individual and team meetings.

The position will take place in the MGH CHOIR office environment and remotely. The studies are conducted entirely in person at the CHOIR center with 4 in person days per week. One day per week can be conducted remotely. Some studies may occur in off-site healthcare settings.
