The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Senior Technical Content Writer, to join the Laboratory Specialty Products business unit. Reporting into the Senior Director, Strategic Marketing, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in translating complex scientific concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content. By collaborating with our R&D, product management, marketing teams, and external subject matter experts (SMEs), you will create segmented content that supports Avantor's products and go-to-market strategy. Your work will directly contribute to the achievement of revenue goals and the successful promotion of Avantor's offerings. This role is full-time, USA remote.

What we're looking for:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Technical Content Writer with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another related Life Sciences field is preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in life science technical content writing
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic & international)

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Your scientific literacy and writing expertise are matched by your strong project management skills, allowing you to juggle multiple priorities effectively. You're proactive in staying updated on industry trends and best practices and are always eager to learn and adapt to new developments in science and technology.

How you will thrive and create an impact:

Content Creation & Editing:

  • Research, write, and edit technical scientific documentation, including application notes, technical notes, brochures, case studies, and thought leadership articles.
  • Translate complex scientific data, in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), into content tailored to different audiences, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and clarity.

Content Analysis & Improvement:

  • Analyze content performance and use data-driven insights to improve content effectiveness.
  • Ensure all content aligns with Avantor's brand voice and style guidelines, maintaining high-quality standards across all materials.

Scientific Literacy & Technical Writing:

  • Strong understanding of life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.).
  • Expertise in researching and synthesizing scientific information from various sources translating into clear, concise, and accurate written technical content.
  • Work closely with R&D, product management, and marketing teams to develop content that supports Avantor's product offerings and go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
  • Utilize basic knowledge of SEO best practices and how to apply them to scientific content.

Project Management & Deadlines:

  • Demonstrate strong project management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Utilize content management systems (CMS) and documentation tools to organize and maintain content.

Impact on Strategy & Growth:

  • Support Avantor's product and GTM strategy by creating content that drives product awareness and adoption, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Innovate by bringing fresh content ideas to life, contributing to Avantor's ongoing success and market leadership.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$77,300.00 - $128,700.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
