Senior Manager, Strategic Workflow Marketing

The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a dedicated Senior Manager, Strategic Workflow Marketing who will drive global financial performance of AVTR proprietary workflow products and solutions within life science and analytical chemistry. Reporting into the Senior Director, Strategic Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing strategic marketing plans, along with go-to-market strategy, that advance business strategy and drives profitable growth within specific workflows. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to ensure that short and long-term growth objectives are met. This role is full-time, USA remote.

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's degree in the life sciences, marketing, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

Experience: (5+ years) in

  • Research, marketing, or product management
  • Experience in development and execution of life science marketing strategy and go-to-market strategy strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a global environment, with an understanding of diverse markets and cultures

Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic & international)

How you will thrive and create an impact:

Financial & Market Accountability

  • Own the financial performance for specialty workflows within life sciences and analytical chemistry portfolios.
  • Cultivate deep market knowledge, understand market trends, the competitive landscape, and end-user needs to inform strategic marketing plans.

Strategy Development & Execution

  • Strategy Leadership: Lead, develop, execute, and optimize insight-based strategic marketing plans, linking market understanding, competitor analysis, qualitative and quantitative voice of customer insights, and actionable recommendations for segmentation, branding, positioning, and messaging for specialty workflow products and solutions.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute global/regional go-to-market strategies to achieve revenue goals, ensuring consistency in value proposition, messaging, and positioning across workflows to drive sustainable market share.

Sales Enablement & Content

  • Sales Enablement: Develop data-driven customer targeting strategies, sales tools, and customer-facing materials to guide commercial sales in executing effective sales programs.
  • Sales Training & Communication: Develop and deliver sales training materials in partnership with sales leadership and product management, equipping the salesforce with effective messaging and positioning rooted in a differentiated value proposition.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of impactful content such as whitepapers, case studies, and technical articles to engage and educate scientific professionals, increasing product awareness and adoption.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Drive decisions and results while collaborating internally with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Sales, and Communications teams to lead new product introductions into successful market introductions.
  • Coach and align regional marketing/sales teams on how to implement global strategies locally, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and proper use of materials and resources.

Relationship Management

  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships, including customers, suppliers, and industry peers, ensuring that strategies remain relevant and competitive.
