Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for an Intern / Co-Op - Environmental Engineering / Geology position in our Orlando or Titusville, FL office. This is a paid internship position that offers the opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world situations while also learning the business skills needed for a successful consulting career. The duration of this internship is approximately 12-16 weeks, to begin during the summer of 2025. Candidates are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to and from the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools;
  • Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
  • Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office administrative staff, CADD operators (draftsmen), contractors and construction personnel; and
  • Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling and remedial system operation and maintenance.
  • Local travel or driving to project sites as needed.
  • Fieldwork: Up to 90%
  • Overnight travel: Up to 25%


Education and Licensure

  • Degree focus area in environmental engineering, geology (or related). (preferred)
  • Currently registered in a Bachelor's or Master's university degree program in a relevant discipline. (required)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office. (required)
  • Must be comfortable doing fieldwork in multiple weather conditions (preferred)
  • Relevant internship experience. (preferred)
  • Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication, and problem-solving skills. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record to drive to project sites. (required)
