The Lagunitas Brewing Company began on a kitchen stove in Northern California in 1993 and has always looked to the future - whether supporting local communities by turning beer into money for the cause, or fueling stories, songs, and experiences with our IPA. The Gist

The Taproom experience serves as an extension of our connection with consumers. We view these experiences as special, unique, and a critical part of how consumers interact with our brand. We wish for them to leave with stories of their own to share with others, and that comes from having a beer, participating in a non-profit event, attending a live band performance, or simply celebrating and enjoying our vibe with friends and family.

The Taproom Host greets and informs arriving guests on Brewery tours, Taproom hours of operation, musical guests, and seating information.This role requires availability on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the expectation of getting 20-25 hours per week.

What You'll Do



  • Welcomes guests in an enthusiastic and friendly manner.
  • Maintain constant communication with servers and bussers to ensure efficient seating and pub procedures.
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Brewery tour times and events schedules.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Lagunitas brand, history, and products.
  • Assist private parties with seating reservations.
  • Familiar with Open Table.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of host station; assists with organization and sanitation of taproom.
  • Monitor guests in accordance with taproom rules; escalating issues to management or security as needed.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned..


What We're Lookin' For



  • Personable, approachable, and friendly. As the first person the guest meets you set the tone for their stay.
  • Punctual, organized, and reliable.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Must be able to demonstrate mature judgment in handling all matters.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Team work ethic.
  • General knowledge of craft beer is desired.


Key Relationships



  • Reports directly to Taproom GM.


Physical Stuff



  • Majority of the shift is spent standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, and pushing.
  • Environment is primarily indoors/outdoors and may involve noise and temperature changes.
