About the Role

The Sales Administrator provides critical support to the sales team through pre-sales activities, prospect research, and coordination of business development initiatives. This position will manage administrative tasks, streamline processes, and ensure seamless communication between departments. This role is essential for maintaining a high-functioning sales operation and delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

Pre-Sales Prospecting:

  • Research and identify potential business opportunities and target accounts using market research tools and databases
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through various prospecting methods
  • Create and maintain detailed prospect profiles and account research documents
  • Qualify initial leads through preliminary outreach and discovery calls

Sales Support:

  • Assist the sales team with the preparation of proposals and presentations; manage and schedule pre-bid and project kick-off meetings
  • Create or map all RFPs utilizing the proposal management tool, RFPIO
  • Distribute and track potential leads for the sales team
  • Maintain and update customer and sales data in the CRM system.
  • Cold calling potential customers for potential leads
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities

Administrative Duties:

  • Handle correspondence, schedule meetings, and manage calendars for the sales team; coordinate and schedule meetings between Business Development Managers and prospective clients
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and ensure timely travel approvals for the sales team.
  • Monitor sales inventory and ensure timely delivery of supplies to events for the sales team
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on subjects including but not limited to prospecting activities and pipeline metrics

Process Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to improve sales processes and workflows.
  • Implement and maintain systems to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align objectives and ensure consistency.
  • Support coordination of promotional campaigns and events.

About You

Must haves:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of B2B sales or Sales Support/Administration

Nice to haves:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business, or Communications
  • Experience: 2+ years of B2B sales or Sales Support/Administration

Your Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales enablement tools, such as sales automation platforms
  • Experience with market research tools and databases.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs and act accordingly.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, lead qualification, or inside sales environments.
  • Skilled in coordinating meetings, managing calendars, and supporting sales teams.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with experience in data analysis and reporting.

This position is an in-person role, meaning employees will be required to come into the Stow, Ohio office on a weekly or as needed basis.
