Air Products, a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, is seeking an experienced Fleet Vehicle Mechanic at our Midlothian, TX location!

At this facility, we produce and distribute liquid Oxygen and Nitrogen to customers throughout North America! You will be responsible for the maintenance of company owned tractors and tanker trailers.

We are seeking an upbeat, highly motivated, and well organized, self-starter with a strong dedication to safety. This is a safety sensitive position, and all tools are provided.

  • Yearly salary $64,000+ / Monday through Friday Days- some on call may be required

The primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary on trailers and tractors
  • Document/record work performed electronically on the computer
  • Perform cryogenic pump maintenance and road repairs when necessary
  • Perform electrical/electronic repairs and installs on tractors and trailers
  • Calibrate pump discharge meters and minor welding and fabricating as required

Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent and Class A CDL preferred but not required
  • Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills
  • Proficient in working harmoniously with fellow mechanics, drivers, and operations personnel
  • Solid work history and an ability to drive a tractor
  • Welding knowledge and Diesel engine troubleshooting and minor repair experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12-volt DC circuits
