As the Welder C, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by constructing components according to specifications. You will perform tasks related to welding, including orbital welding and associated processes. Under the guidance of the Value Stream Supervisor, you will ensure that all parts and tools meet the required standards and for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

You Will:
  • Pull parts listed on the bill of material (BOM) and verify them against blueprints and work orders.

  • Build components according to detailed instructions and specifications.

  • Operate the Orbital Welder for basic machine operations and weld joint preparation, including grinding and cleaning parts.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and change out consumables.

  • Ensure the proper functioning of the overhead crane and use it along with a forklift for material handling.

  • Help with the inspection of parts, inventory reviews, and maintaining organized work areas.

  • Attend regular safety meetings and training sessions, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Gather, clean, and inspect safety gear, ensuring it is in good condition.

  • Provide guidance to colleagues with less experience, helping them to understand established procedures.

You Have:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.

  • Ability to apply knowledge and skills to follow established procedures and ensure safety standards are met.

  • Aptitude for reading and interpreting blueprints and following detailed instructions.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the team.

  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may involve sitting, walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Experience in driving a forklift, working around machinery, and exposure to excessive noise, with the necessary use of protective equipment.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
