ROLE OVERVIEW

The Accounting Support Associate's role will provide vital support within the Accounting Department, with a primary focus on accounts receivable tasks and customer relations. The ideal candidate will be skilled in basic accounting principles, with the ability to follow instructions, take initiative, and effectively manage time. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong desire to problem-solve independently. Please note, this is an onsite position. Remote work is not an option.

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
  • Manage accounts receivable collections, including following up with customers for overdue payments (previous experience a plus).
  • Provide excellent customer relations support, responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Perform basic Excel functions, including sorting and filtering data.
  • Demonstrate strong research skills to resolve discrepancies and answer customer queries.
  • Take clear, concise notes and document all interactions and actions taken.
  • Follow instructions to complete tasks independently, demonstrating time management skills.
  • Take initiative and think outside the box when problem-solving, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently and thoroughly. A solution-focused mindset is essential, with the ability to stay focused and adept until the issue is resolved.
  • Ensure all accounting records are accurate and up to date, maintaining attention to detail throughout the process.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Accounts receivable experience is preferred.
  • Previous customer relations experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Excel (knowledge of sort and filter functions is a must).
  • Strong research skills and the ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and note-taking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently once tasks are assigned, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
  • Problem-solving skills with a creative and persistent approach to finding solutions.
