Overview

SRI International's Microcircuit Emulation Center (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) is looking for an IT Applications Engineer to support the manufacturing of microcircuits (integrated circuits) at the Princeton, NJ facility. This position is 100% on site. Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system. SRI's Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported, U.S.-based Trusted foundry.

The successful candidate will be a new graduate with an interest in learning about integrated circuit manufacturing and the IT Applications that support the process.



Responsibilities

    Maintaining and improving IT Applications systems that support Microcircuit manufacturing working with group and corporate staff.
  • Working with staff and Management across all group disciplines to understand current process methodology and implementations related to IT systems.
  • Sustaining, improving, and optimizing IT applications systems to support operational activities.
  • Working in cross functional teams (Engineering, Integration, Design and Layout) to implement IT Applications systems.
  • Data collection, correlation, interpretation, and presentation of information to management and co-workers.


Qualifications

  • Minimum BS (or equivalent) in electrical engineering, computer science, or an equivalent field.
  • Due to Government requirements candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Knowledge of network systems and ability to use measurement tools to diagnose problems.
  • Must be familiar with software programming concepts.
  • Experience using computer skills to document problems and solutions.
  • Knowledge of schematic diagram, PLC, and ladder logic desired.
  • Demonstrated analytical and systematic teamwork approach to troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally.

The salary range is: $60,507-$80,172. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
