Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing first piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products to ensure they meet quality standards. This role involves rotating between various stations in the QA Lab to conduct thorough inspections and audits across different departments on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform daily inspections on all products, including:

    1. First piece inspections
    2. In-process inspections
    3. Final inspections


  • Rotate between all stations in the QA Lab
  • 65% - Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on all products, including: cutting samples - buffing and polish samples - Hardness verification (Vickers) of samples - Magnaflux Inspection - Micro Inspection, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • 30% Dimensional analysis of parts using CMM/Hand gauges
  • 5% - Perform other duties as assigned, including off-site sorting and product transfers, as needed to support quality assurance activities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional technical training or certifications in quality control, inspection, or a related field is a plus.


Experience



  • Previous experience in quality inspection or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes, inspection methods, and testing equipment.


SKILLS & ABILITIES



  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to document findings and report issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.


Other Requirements



  • Ability to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.
  • Willingness to perform off-site product sorting and transfers when required.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Must be willing to work outside of schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
