Our program delivers depth and real experience so that you can truly evaluate potential career paths within the work we do.

We are looking for an HR Operations Intern to join our growing People team in Seattle, WA. As an HR Operations intern, you will be joining a team that is focused on creating a PeopleFirst employee experience while being operationally excellent. During your internship, you will support various HR Operations responsibilities and aid in project and research work.

What an HR Operations Intern is responsible for:

  • Support a PeopleFirst onboarding experience by processing pre-employment, new hire data entry, and aiding in the weekly onboarding of new hires.
  • Enable accurate and effective record keeping through maintaining and updating HR records, including employee files, HRIS system records and transactions and more.
  • Enhance your HR compliance expertise through a variety of initiatives that you will support the HR Ops team with.
  • Provide outstanding service to our employee's by responding to general HR inquiries.
  • Support exciting improvement projects, research projects around various HR topics, including exploring onboarding enhancements with our team.
  • Provide general administrative support for the HR Operations team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we look for in an HR Operations Intern:

  • Pursuing or having a degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Business preferred.
  • Availability in Summer 2025 (May/June start until August/September depending on school); part-time availability after Summer preferred!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work independently.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

The hourly rate for this role is $22/hr
