A TEKsystems client is seeking a detail oriented Technical Writer with a strong ability to organize and communicate technical information effectively. This is a direct placement opportunity with our customer and will be hybrid 2-3 days/week on site in New Orleans. This entry-level position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong ability to organize and communicate technical information effectively. The Technical Writer I will work under technical direction to create and revise standardized materials for various technical and administrative publications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: -Revise and write standardized materials such as reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and other publications related to work methods, procedures, and equipment operation and maintenance. -Review blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to incorporate technical details. -Integrate and delineate technical information, operating procedures, and production sequences. -Organize material and complete writing assignments in accordance with established standards for clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. -Maintain records and files of work and revisions. -Select and incorporate photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate written materials. -Assist in laying out materials for publication, and arrange for typing, duplication, and distribution. -Support additional writing tasks, such as speeches, articles, or employee relations materials, as required. Required Qualifications: * Education: Associate's degree, High School Diploma, or GED. * Experience: * With Associate's degree: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in technical writing. * With High School Diploma/GED: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical writing. * Experience with reviewing and interpreting technical documents, including blueprints and manufacturer catalogs. * Strong organizational and writing skills, with the ability to meet set standards for order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. Preferred Certifications: * Certification: CompTIA Security+ (Sec+). * Operating System/Training Certification: Basic Mac OS experience preferred. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $42000.00 - $44000.00/yr.
