The Director of Quality Assurance and Safety will initiate, implement and enforce Quality Control and Safety programs, maintaining best practices within our CDC, Cross Dock and back-office locations.

We require candidates who are self-motivated, hands-on professionals who are eager to take a proactive, direct role in managing tasks, solving problems, and driving results through active involvement and collaborative leadership. This person must also have the availability to travel.

Salary: $120,000 to $170,000 plus bonus potential.

Requirements:



  • Must be able to work effectively and engage with all areas of the business
  • Will be required to work within the operation, learning the processes and culture
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret business processes including the ability to respond effectively to complaints
  • Should be able to communicate legibly and effectively to management and peers using original or innovative style and techniques.
  • Must be able to make effective and persuasive presentations to individual teams, management and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • This position requires relocation to other warehouse site locations for specific periods of time.


Responsibilities & Duties:

Safety and Quality Focus



  • Develop and implement robust safety and quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective actions.
  • Develop and track quality assurance, performance, and usage metrics for SMS and related processes.
  • Identify work place safety hazards and develop ideas and solution to correct promptly.


Leadership and Collaboration



  • Influence the operational teams to achieve business objectives and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance overall quality and safety.
  • Guide, coach, and mentor team members to champion organizational projects.
  • Support the sales department with accurate information
  • Support the Logistics Departments


Continuous Improvement



  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive business growth and excellence.
  • Review procedures, identify problems, and recommend solutions in the areas of quality control and safety to management.
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform assigned projects and reports promptly.
  • Utilize project management, lean methodology, performance improvement, change management, and change leadership knowledge to drive improvement efforts.



Education:



  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the capacity of a Quality / Health & Safety Leader.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
