Primary Purpose: The role of HIC (Home-Industrial-Cleaning) Director of Sales will be responsible for both Sales and Technical leadership through USA and CANADA.

This role is responsible for executing the HIC and Care strategic initiatives and driving growth in North America to meet our business goals. Included responsibilities also include, sales execution, leverage new supplier authorizations by delivering sales growth and building a robust opportunity pipeline. This role also is responsible for driving a differentiated value proposition by leveraging our technical team and innovation centers. Critical to this role will be to work cross functionally with other critical teams including Commercial Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, and Human Resources. This role reports directly to Care BU Vice President.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: (% of time may vary by country or region)

Sales Team / Collaboration with Technical Team:

  • Attract, maintain, and develop top sales talent
  • Drive accountability and performance by utilizing critical SFE (SalesForce Effectiveness) tools and systems
  • Contribute to business development, supplier acquisition and M&A agreements.
  • Works with Sales leadership to develop growth strategies.
  • Coordinates the evaluation, design, planning and negotiation of new sales approach and territory structures.
  • Creates a fluid Sales & Technical process to improve innovation and customer experience within HIC
  • Gathers, understands, and communicates market intelligence.
  • Lead and support efforts to promote and grow new portfolio channels into the HIC marketplace.
  • Supports with Geographic expansion opportunities
  • Supports with Product expansion opportunities.

Customers/Suppliers:

  • Develop and maintain high level customers and suppliers relationships
  • Joint calls with Key Customers and suppliers.
  • Customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Creation of Customer coverage and touchpoint interactions.
  • Participation and leadership at key HIC industry trade shows, conventions, and events.

PMM Alignment to Strategy and Sales Goals:

  • Collaborate with the PMM Team to drive existing business as well as growth opportunities (M&A, New Supply, or geographic growth), including terminal expansions, transportation needs, etc.)

Finance:

  • Deliver and assist with M&A and investment opportunities.
  • Work with Legal & Finance on new customer contracts.
  • Work with Finance on business reporting and financial output to further drive strategy and sales process output.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Technical acumen required.
  • 10-15 years minimum commercial experience.
  • High business acumen with ability to understand profit drivers.
  • Deep knowledge of chemical distribution model.
  • Deep knowledge of chemical industry with long standing relationships with producers across the industry.
  • Experience in establishing strong sales structures and in negotiating with senior business managers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
