We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Business Intelligence Developer to lead quality assurance efforts for our data analytics projects. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of our analytics solutions while fostering strong relationships with clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analytics principles, project management practices, and a passion for delivering high-quality, client-centric solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate the team's business intelligence reports for quality, accuracy, and design aesthetics, ensuring adherence to established standards and client expectations.
- Provide guidance and direction to the team on next steps for project delivery, including best practices for data modeling, visualization, and system architecture.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in the development of reports and dashboards as needed, ensuring timely and accurate project execution.
- Lead projects from initiation to delivery, including project planning, task assignment, and performance tracking.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, facilitating effective communication, requirements gathering, and solution delivery.
- Support the development and implementation of custom Power BI visuals using TypeScript and Power BI Developer Tools, with a focus on creating interactive, intuitive, and insightful dashboards.
- Guide the team in developing advanced data analytics solutions, including diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, to provide deeper insights and more robust forecasting capabilities.
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to maintain and enhance data modeling and database management practices.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to optimize team performance and analytics delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10 + years of experience in business analytics, quality assurance, or a related role.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, and SQL-based databases.
- Strong understanding of data modeling techniques and database management best practices.
- Knowledge of design principles for dashboards, reports, and data visualization.
- Proven project management skills with experience in Agile, Scrum, or other methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
- Demonstrated experience in guiding teams, reviewing work for quality, and delivering client-facing analytics solutions.
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP systems and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with custom software solutions and web-based applications.
- Graphic design experience.
- Management experience.
- Civil engineering industry knowledge.
- Skills related to developing custom Power BI visuals for the Power BI marketplace, including experience with D3.js, TypeScript, and Power BI Developer Tools to create, test, and deploy visuals that enhance data storytelling and provide advanced analytical capabilities.
- Knowledge of coding languages and systems such as SQL, C#, JavaScript, DAX, Power Query, and R.
- Experience with the different types of data analytics, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
