THE JOB:

The Associate Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing assigned Sales Managers and ensuring the team meets its sales goals. As an experienced sales professional, this role also carries individual sales targets. The position involves developing and maintaining sales strategies and account plans to achieve business objectives. Team oversight and goals will vary based on property and team assignments.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Engages with clients in advance to secure sales and follows through to plan and implement their needs.

  • Actively promotes and sells all products and services through participation in trade shows and industry events.

  • Represents the company at customer events both on and off property, including site inspections.

  • Collaborates closely with catering and convention services to ensure seamless execution of all programs.

  • Plays a key role in developing and monitoring marketing strategies to drive both short-term and long-term profitability.

  • Contributes to the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to maintain a competitive edge and anticipate evolving customer needs.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of competitor offerings and pricing to enhance strategic decision-making.

  • Travels as required to support business development and client engagement.

  • Oversees human resource responsibilities for the department, fostering a culture of teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, and mutual respect.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Hotel or Business Administration or has equivalent experience.

  • They bring at least 4+ years of relevant experience, including management experience, demonstrating a proven ability to lead teams effectively.

  • This individual is results-driven, leveraging available resources efficiently while continuously exploring new approaches to enhance productivity without compromising effectiveness.

  • They drive strategies with a sense of urgency, ensuring company performance deadlines are met.
