Description

The forklift driver maintains production flow to and from the production line and coordinates inbound and outbound loads to meet production needs and customer orders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and safely stack them to assigned places
  • Complete all/other duties as assigned including working in other departments and other projects as needed, especially during the off-peak season.
  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
  • Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
  • Transport raw materials to production workstations
  • Daily safety and maintenance check of vehicle, report any concerns
  • Keep updated accurate records of inventory and activity logs
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
  • Follow all safety requirements and standards per guidelines
  • Support production lines as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid certification to operate forklifts
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Excellent physical condition, eye sight and coordination, physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Effective listening, communication (verbal and written)
  • Manage time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Proven experience as forklift operator utilizing various machines including high reach; minimum 1 year
