The Hydraulic Valve Systems Division specializes in leading innovative valve solutions that deliver maximum overall value and a preferred partner to our customers in key markets. The Automatic (Screw) Machine Setup Operator is responsible for operating and adjusting Acme Gridley multi-spindle bar machines.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust multiple spindle automatic cam controlled.
  • Perform diversified machining operations on complicated short run or long run repetitive work.
  • Must maintain close/exacting tolerances and finish specifications involving multi-tooled set ups.
  • Often runs multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Responsible for lubrication of machines and correct settings when necessary.
  • Diagnose any malfunctions and assist in training others when required. Continuously reduce set up time.
  • Must stock up machine with bars and remove chips.
  • Determine cause of operating errors/troubleshooting machines.
  • Must use and read simple to complicated blue prints and gaging equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of cams, gears, collets, forms, drills, taps, die heads, pushers, shavers, chasers and reamers.
  • Maintains neat, clean work area and maintains the highest degree of quality, quantity, throughput, safety, cost reduction and customer service continuously.
  • Ability to work individually or with a team.
  • Perform these duties and others as requested.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge/use of advanced math and be able to read charts, schematics, blueprints, tables of all types, etc.
