LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, OPPC LEARNING & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, DAVIDSON COUNTY Qualifications Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or any other related field and experience equivalent to two years of professional experience in talent management or organizational development work. Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or any other related field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of one year. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional organizational development or talent management experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years. OR Three years of professional organizational development or talent management experience with the State of Tennessee. Necessary Special Qualifications: Drivers license is required along with some in-state travel. Examination Method: Education and Experience, 100%, for Preferred Service positions. Overview Under general direction, an incumbent in this classification serves in the Department of Human Resources and is responsible for all aspects of talent management including talent development, organizational development, and talent retention; and performs related work as required. Employees in this classification will be expected to travel to events. Incumbents in this class will either independently or as a member of a team design and develop individual and organizational research tools, support employee engagement and experience processes, and aide in the talent development and performance management scope of work. This class differs from the Talent Management Director series in that incumbents of the latter strategically implement talent management related functions for any agency. Responsibilities
