Mechanical Engineering Internship Summer 2025

Your Responsibilities:

• Create and refine 3D models of ATR primary coolant system components using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop detailed design representations to support maintenance, upgrades, and operational planning.
• Collaborate with engineers to verify design accuracy and ensure proper integration within ATR systems.
• Analyze existing documentation and conducting field measurements to improve modeling have context menu

This team works a 4x10 schedule and works onsite at the Advance Test Reactor next to Idaho Falls Idaho. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.

• Undergraduate or Graduate Masters students enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum overall 3.0 GPA
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Undergraduate Internships ($26.16/hour - $31.47/hour)
• Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($32.87/hour - $35.26/hour)
• PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($35.95/hour - $38.41/hour)
• Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off, and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.
