Description Summary
Join our team at Thrive Behavioral Health team as our Compliance Manager. The position will likely be based out of our Rosedale office but will require travel between our other offices in Millersville, Catonsville, and Montgomery County. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out and overseeing Thrive's on-going quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborating with leadership to draft and implement policies and procedures developed to comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Working with the leadership team to interpret COMAR, Joint Commission and related regulatory guidelines and develops policies and procedures that operationalize these requirements.
- Potential to be assigned oversight of licensing visits and surveys.
- Reviews and analyzes processes such as intake.
- Performs quality assurance calls and on clinical notes weekly based on specific metrics.
- Completes monthly coordination with safety officers for each site.
- Oversees incident reporting processes and procedures.
- In response to site visit and survey recommendations, the Compliance Manager will oversee the preparation of any necessary Performance and/or Quality Improvement Plans.
- Collects and analyzes quarterly performance outcome data and narrative reports from all programs.
- Understands and adhering to Thrive Behavioral Health compliance standards as they appear in Thrive Behavioral Health Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Stays up-to-date on all pertinent federal, state and Thrive Behavioral Health regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Performs other duties and tasks required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's preferred
- Experience in a clinical setting is required
- Experience with accreditation, I.e. CARF or Joint Commission, required
- Proficient computer skills, particularly using Excel, creating pivot tables and database management along with familiarity of EMR systems, particularly Credible, strongly desired
- The ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The successful candidate should be a motivated, self-starter with exceptional prioritization and time management skills.
