We are recruiting for a Global Process Owner for Finance Master Data to join our Global Accounting (GA) Center of Excellence Team. Our team consists of experts who are stewards of our financial data. Together, we manage tools, systems, processes, and governance for Accounting globally.

This position requires a good understanding of Accounting, Finance policies and procedures, as well as knowledge of systems (e.g., SAP (ERP and Business Warehouse), Qlik Sense, Excel, SharePoint, AgilePoint).

As a Subject Matter Expert for the SAP Finance Area, you will work as a liaison between Finance and Digital Technology to resolve issues and implement solutions that streamline and automate work processes. You will be the first point of contact for Managers and Employees with questions, changes, or enhancements relating to SAP Finance Master Data (e.g., Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Chart of Accounts) and work processes.

You will support the global Air Products' finance and business communities on SAP (ERP) related activities, including processes and practices, system implementation and operation, and finance master data and standards compliance. This position provides global troubleshooting coverage, problem-solving, and issue resolution in a cross-functional/integrated environment.

As Global Process Owner, you will:

• Be the Global Process Owner (GPO) in Finance Master Data: Global Chart of Accounts, Profit Centers, Cost Centers, Parallel Ledgers.

• Maintain and create Financial Statement Versions.

• Maintain Finance substitution and clearing rules for the Chart of Accounts.

• Maintain up-to-date Finance Standards and Job Aids.

• Act as the SAP Finance Master Data Role Owner.

• Manage the life cycle of finance master data with the highest level of data accuracy and integrity.

• Perform ongoing operational activities, including month-end, year-end close, and new year start-up.

• Provide guidance to finance personnel about SAP Finance functionality and work processes.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the SAP Finance Area (ERP and Reporting Applications). This includes providing training, resolving problems, or offering expert advice on integrated processes.

• GA Centre of Excellence Lead for SAP business integrations and divestitures, organization restructuring, EMOC (Management of Change), and automation/improvement projects.

• Stay externally aware of SAP enhancements and recommend best practices.

• Eliminate inefficiencies, simplify, standardize, and automate Finance Master Data processes. The GPO possesses both the technical and process expertise of a specialized area.

What we are looking for:

• A degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 4 to 5 years of experience in a Finance organization.

• Understanding of financial systems and tools, data flows, processes, and reporting capabilities (e.g., SAP, Business Warehouse, Qlik Sense, Excel).

• Strong oral and written English language communication skills, including the ability to understand and describe the needs of the Finance organization to members of Digital Technology and convey IT concepts to members of the Finance organization.

• An organized and proactive individual who can prioritize multiple projects with strict deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive decisions and tool use, while involving key stakeholders.

• A creative thinker who can identify new opportunities and envision how tools might best be used to meet requirements.

• A growth mindset, embracing tools and technology, and staying current with technology trends.
