Overview

We are seeking a skilled dynamic Learning & Development Trainer to deliver high-quality training programs that equip our advisors with the skills and expertise they need to excel.

The L&D Trainer will focus on creating, delivering, and assessing training programs that enhance the operational efficiency of advisors. A core component of this role involves ensuring expertise in travel technology systems, including Sabre, Travelport, and Amadeus. This role requires a collaborative approach to meet the developmental needs of new-to-industry advisors and experienced professionals while aligning with GTC's strategic goals.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. The salary range posted represents the pay range for U.S. candidates. If the job posting indicates that the role is available for international candidate consideration, the salary range will be based on the local market for the country where the candidate would be working.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company's financial goal achievement and individual performance.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Training Design and Delivery
    Develop and facilitate engaging, interactive training programs for GTC advisors and employees on GTC suite of tools, i.e. GDS System (Sabre, Travelport, Amadeus), NDC, Advisor OS, PlanitEasy.
  • Create tailored instructional materials such as resource guides, PowerPoint presentations, learning bytes tailored to various learning styles and experience levels. Scribe or Loom knowledge is an asset.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Ensure training content reflects current industry standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Incorporate techniques like gamification, microlearning, and other innovative techniques to enhance learner engagement and retention.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
  • Measure training effectiveness using feedback surveys, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify gaps and areas for improvement refining programs as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in learning and development to integrate fresh ideas into training initiatives.
Collaboration and Support
  • Partner with GTC teams to ensure alignment with company learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts from Travel Tech, Advisor Support, and Operations to maintain accuracy and relevance of training materials.
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching and mentorship to advisors and employees to enhance performance and confidence.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience as an L&D Trainer, leisure, or corporate travel industry.
  • Proficiency in Sabre, Travelport, or Amadeus, with the ability to train advisors effectively on these platforms.
  • Expertise in designing and delivering both in-person and virtual training programs.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Loom and Scribe is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a talent for engaging and inspiring learners.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel across the U.S., adhering to GTC's travel guidelines.
