As our Business Continuity Project Manager, you will be a key player in managing and directing the ongoing refinement, launch, adoption, and institutionalization of our business continuity program tools and strategy. This role will actively support our global headquarters, regional office campuses, plants, distribution centers, labs, and data centers adopt and institutionalize the Donaldson business continuity program methodology and tools. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, refining program documents and tools, supporting execution, and reporting results to achieve business continuity rollout and adoption goals and ISO, IATF, AS certification / recertification compliance. You will also train indirect business continuity support resources and facilitate business continuity activities. This individual will be seen as a strategic and tactical leader throughout the incident response, recovery, and after-action evaluation and reporting of a business continuity event. This role will be based out of our Bloomington, MN headquarters office.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business continuity plans and strategies to ensure business operations continue in the event of a crisis.

  • Partner with Site leadership teams to rollout and adopt business continuity documents and tools.

  • Facilitate conversations to drive the delivery of the business impact analysis, including outlining critical business processes, assets, data flows, notifications, and escalations.

  • Manage, educate, and facilitate readiness, response, and recovery procedures in collaboration with Site, Vertical, and Corporate leaders.

  • Utilize standard project management tools to develop mechanisms for facilitating on time and on budget execution of annual business continuity program deliverables

  • Facilitate table-top exercises and tests with Site leaders, driving updates to drafted plans.

  • Conduct business continuity risk assessments, establish expectations, facilitate execution of contingency activities.

  • Engage with workstream partners (HR, Corp Communications, EHS, Facilities, IT, etc.) to align and integrate business continuity plans, programs, and tools with the ecosystem of crisis - emergency management initiatives.

  • Accountable to communicate status and coordinate escalations to the Corporate business continuity leadership team.

  • Manage the development and continuous improvement of business continuity policies, documents, and tools.

  • Lead internal quality system management audits (ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and AS9100D) ensuring our organization's systems meet regulatory and industry standards.

TRAVEL: Up to 25% (domestic and internationally)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive business continuity program experience

  • 3+ years of project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the development and launch of new and dynamic projects, programs, and facilitating process improvements.

  • Acquainted with established business continuity, project management standards (ISO, PDCA) and/or applicable frameworks to bolster continuous improvement and problem-solving efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Skilled conducting business continuity risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and adept at analyzing and synthesizing data gathered.

  • Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks.

  • Ability to work in a complex, highly matrixed, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong project management skills which include prioritizing and balancing workload, anticipating next steps, and adapting to change.

  • Ability to build strong working relationships, influence people and change at various levels, and establish credibility with leaders and stakeholders.

  • Lead auditor trained and demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and AS9100D

  • Project Management certifications would be beneficial

  • Must demonstrate practical and theoretical knowledge in the application of business continuity concepts and practices with the ability to organize, schedule, conduct, coordinate, track, measure, and report multiple program elements simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential.

  • May require ability to have or obtain a security clearance(s).

  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Annual Salary Range: $86,200 - $111,000.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
