Lab Engineer

Stellar Solutions is seeking a Lab Engineer to assist in developing and testing RF terminal prototypes, configure lab and test environments, manage critical test equipment, and conduct environmental testing. You'll also optimize test automation processes and provide hands-on system support at customer sites, ensuring reliable and high-performance terrestrial RF products.

In this role, you will:

Build and test prototype electronic units for RF terminals
• Oversee and track critical test equipment procurements
• Architect and configure test environments for terrestrial products (configure equipment and lab network)
• Conduct environmental tests (vibration & thermal environments)
• Utilize and develop optimization solutions for test automation
• Provide system level test support on customer premises

Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in RF/electronics testing and prototyping
• Strong understanding of RF systems, circuit design, and electronic test principles
• Experience configuring test environments, including lab networks and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Familiarity with vibration and thermal testing procedures and standards
• Experience with test automation tools and scripting (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.)
• Ability to provide hands-on system-level test support at customer locations
• Experience managing test equipment acquisition and tracking
• Ability to work in environments requiring security clearance or compliance with regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Develop and validate a fully functional RF terminal prototype, including automation-driven test environments, ensuring it meets rigorous environmental and performance standards. Deliver a streamlined, optimized test system that enhances reliability and accelerates deployment for real-world applications.
