We have an opportunity for a Benefits Specialist to join our Benefits team in Golden Valley, MN. Reporting to the Global Benefits Sr Director, you will assist in handling employee benefit policies and compliance needs. This role will split their time between back-end benefits administration and employee/Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) inquiries.

You will:

  • Effectively assist with administering all benefits programs including but not limited to health, wellness, retirement, and ancillary programs.
  • Manage changes from outsourced benefits administration system to Workday.
  • Monitor compliance of benefit plans to ensure benefit plan testing, notices, plan documents and filings are completed timely and delivered accurately.
  • Provide timely resolution of employee issues by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
  • Conduct vendor and HRIS audits to ensure accuracy of benefit records.
  • Track year-to-date (YTD) benefits spending versus allocated budget.
  • Assist with Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and year-round local, state, and federal compliance matters for benefit plans.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.). Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification or advanced training in benefits a plus.
  • Have 2+ years of medical, pharmacy, dental, 401k, employee wellness/wellbeing and outsourced benefits administration experience.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of Canadian and non-U.S. benefit is a plus.
  • General knowledge of current trends, applicable laws, and regulations relating to employee benefits.
  • Previous experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and carry out assigned projects to completion.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as annual incentive bonus.
