Job Description

As part of the Medical Department, the Minor League Athletic Trainer provides the prevention, care, treatment and rehabilitation, under the supervision of a licensed physician, for all athletic injuries and illnesses incurred by Milwaukee Brewer minor league players. Provides open lines of communication between the minor league affiliate manager, coaches, Director - Player Health and MBBC front office personnel of all injuries and medical conditions of MBBC players at the affiliate.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    Under the MBBC policies, provide athletic training room rules and medical policies for players. Ensure copies of rules and policies are distributed to managers, coaches, and front office staff
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical information and medical files on players and staff in the MLB Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Assist in conditioning program set up by Strength & Conditioning Coach and/or Senior Coordinator - Minor League Strength & Conditioning.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in professional baseball, as well as the ability to evaluate, treat, and document injuries, and assess risk pertaining to workload of professional baseball athletes. Candidates with the ability to speak Spanish are preferred.
