YOUR IMPACT

OpenText has established global Centers of Excellence for Account Development to support best-in-class cloud software technology and solutions for public sector clients. In this role, you will work alongside a high-performing team to attract and qualify prospects exploring OpenText solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the generation of sales opportunities, pipeline growth, and achieving revenue goals for the public sector space.

This position is perfect for energetic, tech-savvy, motivated, and creative professionals passionate about driving digital transformation in the public services and government sectors. With a strong foundation in B2B lead generation and business development, you will receive comprehensive onboarding, on-the-job coaching, and personalized development to help you advance your career into future roles in Sales, Pre-Sales, Solution Consultancy, or Management.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

* Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute a territory strategy aimed at discovering, nurturing, and qualifying a pipeline of leads within the public sector.

* Generate new business opportunities through a mix of outbound cold calling, personalized emails, social media engagement, and video communications.

* Qualify and develop inbound leads generated by campaigns and digital events, building customer profiles and identifying key pain points that OpenText can resolve.

* Work closely with a "win team" to progress sales opportunities, re-engage leads, and nurture relationships to drive pipeline acceleration and closure.

* Build trusted relationships with public sector decision-makers by acting as a business advisor and mapping the buying process with key stakeholders.

* Use Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg, and Outreach to identify contacts, track progress, and forecast outcomes for the public sector.

* Qualify leads based on BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline) to ensure high-quality Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).

* Participate in ongoing coaching and skill-building activities to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

* Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally in public sector or technology sales.

* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and address prospects' business challenges within government and public service organizations.

* A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

* Creative and resilient when researching leads and engaging with public sector prospects.

* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment where change is constant.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

* A goal-oriented mindset with analytical abilities and a proven track record of ownership and execution.

* Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and DiscoverOrg is a plus.

* Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of outbound lead generation experience in the technology sector or public sector preferred.
