We're adding a full-time Videographer/Editor to our crew. If you have the industry experience and confidence to work with attention to detail and in new, creative ways - all with respect for the Garver brand - then we'd love to have you join our team.
In this role, you'll work on all phases of video production: planning, lighting, shooting, audio capture, editing, motion graphics, and animation. You'll develop creative assets for internal communication channels, as well as content for a variety of external digital campaigns. In fact, a significant portion of your time will be dedicated to developing digital ads for business development and recruitment needs. You'll collaborate with a robust creative team that has the support of a 1,300-person (and growing) firm, willing to go the extra mile to best tell our story.
The successful candidate must collaborate with the creative director to execute video concepts, manage multiple projects and responsibilities, operate with a strong sense of teamwork, and prioritize duties to meet deadlines. Frequent travel is required and fundamental to success in this role.
What you'll do
Under the direction of Communications Team leadership,core responsibilities in this role will be:


  • Communicate with and collaborate with the creative director, colleagues and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure consistency in brand representation
  • Shoot and edit videos for business development campaigns, events, internal communications, and other videos as needed
  • Effectively operate camera, audio, and lighting equipment during video shoots
  • Create animated visual elements and effects to enhance videos
  • Edit and assemble video footage for final product
  • Shoot and edit event, portrait, and project photography
  • Maintain organization of photos, videos, and graphic assets
  • Assemble and break down sets
  • Travel as needed for project photography and videography


What you'll bring


  • You have a strong, varied portfolio of work in both still photography and video.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience. (But if you're a seasoned professional with more experience, and this sounds like the job for you, let's talk!)
  • You demonstrate impeccable creative execution and strong attention to detail.
  • You think on your feet every day, and pivot and multitask fluidly.
  • You have knowledge and experience with:

    • Still and video cameras and accessories
    • Audio equipment and recording for video production
    • Production equipment (grip and lighting)
    • Video editing and audio mixing
    • Animation and motion graphics


  • You're confident using video and photo editing software and motion graphics tools (e.g. Adobe Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop).
  • You have a strong understanding of design principles and visual storytelling.
  • You're organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • You're stimulated by challenges.
