Role Objective
Drive enterprise sales and profitability performance through effective pricing strategy, process and negotiation in key focus markets, contracts and opportunities. Understand the key competitors in assigned markets and the key decision criteria of how customers make purchasing decisions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Leads the market pricing strategy for key core markets
- Leads the negotiation, financials, legal review process for our largest agreements
- Takes a whole systems view of profitability through deep understanding of channel partner programming, VSE programs, purchasing organization growth or administrative fees
- Creates the pricing and competitive strategy for RFQ and RFP bid scenarios, engaging in the negotiation process through sales and end user collaboration. Responsible for leading the senior level pricing meetings with c-suite approvals
- Maintains strict deadlines and turnaround times for public tenders. Communicates with all parties upon receipt of a public or private tender and owns the process for aligning and approving pricing strategy
- Leads an annual review of pricing policies pertaining to price increase, price deviation, minimum advertised price (MAP) policy and recommend updates and changes to pricing leadership
- Drives price increase and price deviation strategic alignment through enterprise
- Research and - provide best practice pricing strategies and tactics in GOJO's markets and complimentary industries
- Direct, identify, support, and/or drive GOJO business decisions and new business opportunities through the development and management of strategic pricing analytics.
- Conducts regular pricing meetings with business unit leaders to communicate price increase and price deviation trends
- Oversees the development of pricing and rebate analysis/reporting for leadership reviews
- Maintains data, systems and process standards for quality audits
- Develops approach to manage competitive intelligence across all markets and leverage that data to inform strategic decision making across the enterprise
- Helps drive effective, efficient, whole-systems dialogue and decision-making through coordination and collaboration
- Provides ongoing pricing support to other departments (both internal and external) as needed
- Collaborates with the entire pricing operations team to ensure alignment of process, communication of process, drive best practice and connect on emerging competitive or market trends
- Lead and mentor team of analysts to identify insights, drive pricing opportunities, and spearhead the creation of enterprise level pricing & margin analytics
- Responsible for the training, coaching, and development of pricing analysts
Education and Experience
- BA/BS in Finance or a related field required
- MBA preferred
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in pricing strategy or pricing analysis
- Technical experience: BI Solutions (PowerBI/Tableau), Excel, large data management required
- Preferred technical experience: SQL, Azure, Access, Visual Basic (VBA)
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to generate insights from large and complex data sets
- Ability to effectively communicate complex analytics in an intuitive way to senior leaders across the enterprise and influence decision making
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas in clear and concise manner
- Experience managing a team, engaging associates and developing team members
- Strong team builder and cross functional boundary spanner; ability to influence, challenge, and drive consensus across the organization and at multiple levels
Supervision/Coordination
- Reports directly to the Pricing and Category Management VP
- Directly supervises analysts
- Works closely with senior leaders, project teams, and other workgroup leaders and staff members
- Influences persons in other workgroups/functional teams
Travel Requirements
Overnight Travel - sporadic - required.
